Elisa Prim Ladybug Doll

A little about what inspires me to create dolls... hope you enjoy.
I like the feel of the simple, antique, olde, worn, and torn of yesteryear, primitives are comforting they seem to come natural to me.  This all started when my sister-in-law and I were looking through a magazine and she said to me I want one of those... it was a primitive doll.  So I looked and searched for my style in dolls then ordered my very first doll pattern.  My passion grew as I pour my heart into each doll I really enjoyed my time as the machine hummed along then with hand stitching and painting each one became its own and got a heart.  Sometimes the body’s sit on the shelf for a long time before they speak to me and Im ready to give her/him a part of me.... the rest is history!  One of my favorite doll artists is Sharon Stevens of Mustard Seed Originals her work is amazing and inspires me.  My husband and son have been a wonderful source of encouragement, help, and support.  However, most of all my relationship with God, my creator has inspired me to be passionate, consistent, persistent and content in who I am and what I do as a person and an artist.
