CDA Tiny House Challenge

Cloth Doll Artistry tiny house challenge is a great way to start the year in prim style.  The challenge called for us to create a tiny house stitch it, sew it , glue it, quilt it, draw it or what ever your medium is.  I decided to use a cutter quilt for my tiny houses. Hope you enjoy then and we would love to have you join us at CDA.

Follow Your Heart

Follow Your Heart

One of my greatest treasures is my long-lasting friendships.  I call them oak tree friends.  Oak wood is strong and holds up to the test of time, beautifully displayed in an old piece of furniture with time worn lines.  Laughter and hardship give us our beauty lines and strength to endure.  If you are an oak tree friend, each of you can pick up where you left off even when years have passed the loyalty lasts.
Several of my dearest friends sent unexpected packages and I am sure you could hear me squeal when opening each bundle.  Enclosed in a small box wrapped in colored tissue paper I found vintage lace, ribbons, and vintage handmade cloths.  She followed her heart sending a little note of encouragement.  A package of fabrics arrived one afternoon in the winter bringing sunshine into the dark of the day.  She followed her heart sending delightful buttons.  Another sent a box of vintage fabrics, buttons, and lace.  She followed her heart and asked if she could send more to inspire.  The marvelous part is they all coordinated with each other.  When we follow our heart, amazing things transpire and not forgotten but treasured and shared.
