My heart is over joyed and humbled. Over the weekend I was awarded Judges Choice for my painting at the local Fine Arts League. Artist Tim Deibler and judge is an oil teacher, writer, photographer and has won many awards, he is best known for his stunning portrayal of nature in oil, he loves painting the rugged mountain peaks and desert canyons and the pounding surf.
Lost Roses is a comfort to me I put my heart and soul into it as it comforts me in my losses.
I have three sisters and two brothers we are grieving the losses of great magnitude in our lives the years the loss of each other, the loss of connection.  However, love and memories remain attached in my heart, so much beauty overlooked and trampled underfoot.

I have been counseling a post-abortive precious one this year. She has come so far, amazing the work God does in one’s heart when we lead and in the heart of the one who is lead.  My God is so big.  This is for all the grieving girls who choose abortion over life because we simply did not know the TRUTH. And to my sisters and brothers as we grieve loss of each other and one who raised us.

 Lost Roses

Are you one of the lost roses?
Seems so long ago, it was
They tended you with care…
The suddenly, love just wasn’t there.

Are you one of the lost roses?
Left alone, it grows up
Trampled underfoot…
So much beauty overlooked.

And yet, you survived,
You’re a stronger kind…
A prize-winning rose
Underneath a wild vine.

To your surprise,
Your petals are touched;
Just didn’t know
One could love you so much.

Are you one of the lost roses?
There is One who knows it,
Knows your heart of hurt…
He wants to be your Gardener.

He’s seeking you out
To make you His own rose.
Its time to be found,
Untangle from old woes…

Are you one of the lost roses
That he holds in his hand?

He heals the brokenhearted,
    and binds up their wounds.
